Gaining Planning Consent is one of the most important processes of creating alterations to an existing property or achieving a new building.

Permitted Development Rights

Changes to the regulations have now given many Permitted Development Rights (PDR).  These allow homeowners to alter their properties without the need for Planning Consent but PDR rules are complex.  We always recommend consulting a professional to give you assurance that the scheme falls within PDR.

Planning Applications

We are experts in creating and submitting all types of Planning Applications.  These include Change of Use, Householder applications, Full plans, Outline Planning and Condition discharging, Listed Building Consent and assessment, Permitted developments, Certificate of Lawfulness and Building Regulations approval.

Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas

In our local area we have experience of working with buildings that have a Grade Listing, are within a Conservation Area or most recently within the new South Downs Park. Buildings within these areas require different Planning Consents. These consents usually require that important features, internally and externally, are preserved with alterations protecting the character of the building and using similar products and construction methods.

It is all too easy to fall foul of these regulations, and this can be both costly and cause delays.  Please do work with a professional!

With so many different types of applications and rules, getting the right planning application

can be a daunting prospect for many
